I am a classically trained chorister (baritone) who is interested in almost
every kind of music. What impresses me most of all, however, is baroque
harmony and counterpoint, especially the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Moreover, I am rather enthusiastic about music theory, having given several
courses on the subject at summer schools of
the CdE, see below. On the one hand, I
enjoy studying techniques that are characteristic for specific composers in
order to write scores in a certain style (‘period copies’), and on the other
hand, it is very satisfying for me to (re-)discover geometric and algebraic
structures within music.

the CdE, some of them joint with Charlotte
Mertz, Maria Ravvina,
and Florian Störtz.
